Responsible for accounting procedures and fiscal control during the Festival weekend. Bookkeeping and cash handling experience is a definite asset.

Maintain a safe and friendly environment for our patrons and performers after the Main Stage has finished at night.

Assist with backstage meal prep, service as well as clean up as needed.

Stocking and maintain the Festival Beer Garden. Sell beverage tickets, pour beverages, serve and clear tables. All members of this crew must be 19 years or older.

This crew operates in each camping field of the festival providing information and assistance to the campers in each field. Campground hosts can opt to do a 12 hour shift (overnight) which would serve as their full volunteer commitment (rather than 16 hours).

Contribute to a warm and engaging atmosphere, as you help our pot-lucking guests to create delicious, communal meals. Assist with proper food preparation, clean-up and storage of food throughout the festival weekend.

We’re looking for youth participants to participate in this site-oriented youth program that carries out festival site preparation and forest management during the week before the festival. Split wood, move bush, paint, plant trees and flowers, make signs, and get our festival site all dolled up.

Assist coordinator in creating a welcoming, safe environment for performers and participants to explore rhythm and movement through a variety of cultural lenses. This team is responsible for set-up and tear-down, working with artists, and ensuring that events run smoothly.

These crews need sociable folks who are familiar with Ness Creek, can remain calm under pressure, and have customer service and problem-solving abilities to be great ambassadors for the Festival. Greet and register performers and sponsors, and answer questions of all attendees.

Monitor the entry and exit points to Downtown, checking for festival wristbands, banned substances, dangerous materials and valid ID, where needed. These volunteers must be friendly yet assertive, and committed to promoting Ness Creek policies.

Create a safe and fun environment for our younger festival-goers and their caregivers with face-painting, costumes, and crafts. Assist workshop leaders, engage kids and families, and help create our festival’s perennial favourite, the Sunday Children’s Parade.

Our First Aid Crew keeps the festival safe and cared for. Whether you’re first aid certified, a registered nurse, or a healthcare worker, your skills are essential in supporting our community when care is needed. First Aid volunteers also only need to complete 12 hours instead of 16.

Care for our permaculture demonstration site, the Ness Creek Forest Garden, during the festival. Maintain the garden and compost, and conduct tours that teach festival attendees about various aspects of the forest garden.

Welcome patrons to the site as they arrive. Collect tickets, sell day-passes and provide festival attendees with wristbands.

If you have a passion for sustaining the environment, this is your chance to make a difference at Ness Creek! Promote environmental awareness and ensure the festival site remains clean by distributing bins, de-littering the site, and collecting recycling, garbage and compost.

Conduct site maintenance throughout the festival weekend. This team operates mostly on call and responds when something needs to be fixed or transported.

Sell merchandise for performers as well as Ness Creek Music Festival. If you are outgoing, with great customer service skills and a friendly demeanour, and are comfortable handling cash, you are who we’re looking for!

Set up the Ness Creek Music Festival site. This team needs people who are able to lift heavy objects and who carry out physical labour.
Prefestival volunteers will receive their t-shirt after the festival so we can ensure proper sizing for the volunteers who are required to wear their t-shirt as a uniform while workingmeals are only provided for this crew during prefestival (the last meal is Thursday lunch); prefestival volunteers are not eligible to buy a meal card

This crew will work for the festival admin staff on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (post festival). The work will involve picking up festival signage, taking down festival specific posters, picking up supplies from various crew areas and properly storing in the seacan, organization of the seacan and other tasks as needed by admin and operations staff.
Post-festival volunteers will receive their t-shirt after the festival so we can ensure proper sizing for the volunteers who are required to wear their t-shirt as a uniform while working
meals are only provided for this crew during post fesitval (meals from Sunday supper through to Tuesday supper); post festival volunteers are not eligible to buy a meal card

Promote a safe and happy Ness for all using prevention, harm reduction, and education; work with security and first aid team, and promote our policies. Friendly yet assertive, team members are comfortable being on their feet, and are preferably experienced in first aid/harm reduction. If you’re a life-guard let us know and maybe you can go at The Stage Of Aquarius!

Help facilitate safe rides for festival goers by managing the line-ups for the buses, monitoring the passengers while en route, or driving vehicles to and from various areas near the festival site.

Set up and tear down all sound equipment for the Main Stage and assist in running performances. We’re looking for team-players who have an intermediate knowledge of stage and sound equipment and the physical strength to work this crew.

Gather survey data from festival attendees, sell raffle tickets and collect money. These crew members must have a commitment to fundraising for the festival, an outgoing personality and cash handling experience.

If you’re up for anything, and willing to help, this crew offers a great way to get an overall sense of Ness Creek behind the scenes. Lend a hand when and where needed throughout the festival site, and adapt to the skills required for each position.
